CHURCH ENGAGEMENT INITIATIVE
We believe that faith communities have a vital role to play in helping former prisoners to successfully reintegrate back in society.
The U-Turn reentry program provides church the best practical pathway to disciple people while solving a social problem at the same time. Church ministries or small groups that partner with us have an opportunity to mentor someone hence being spiritually formed to Jesus’ heart and method of discipleship.
WHAT CAN MY CHURCH DO?
Invite us to share with your congregation information about ex-prisoners reentry, issues involved as well as prepare your congregation to receptive and accepting to these individuals.
We ask that you make a financial contribution towards this cause as a component of your church’s missional engagement.
Donate your real estate space to temporarily house individuals reentering the community until they graduate from U-Turn reentry program.
Individuals and families within your church have an opportunity to sponsor a child whose parent(s) are incarcerated. This sponsorship covers book reading time over the Jail’s virtual video visitation system. It is aimed at harnessing parent-child bonding while improving literacy for both parent and child.
